The artist duo CAROLÏN&PHILIPP, also known as the art collective ZONENKINDER, has been creating together since 2003 . Deeply influenced by their passion for Hip Hop, Graffiti, Urban Art, Punk, Anime, and Pop Art, they craft a shared Œuvre that bridges these dynamic cultures with a profound connection to nature. Their roots in the 1990s Urban Art/Graffiti scene and Berlin’s Underground Techno Culture mark them as pioneers in Figurative Narrative Graffiti and Urban Art in Germany. Internationally their work is recognized for urban interventions that merges Landart and Urban Art like the awarded “The Tree Project,”. Their creative process spans a variety of materials and surfaces, producing figurative narrative paintings, wooden sculptures, and outdoor installations that challenge and inspire.
Their studio work reflects the human impact on the planet, probing sociological questions around lifestyle, consumption, and society. One theme is the complex relationship between humans and animals, highlighting the contrast between the indifference toward livestock farming and the affection for pets.
ZONENKINDER has exhibited globally, including at the M.I.A.M. – Musée International des Arts Modestes in Sète (France), invited by Hervé di Rosa, or at the Gogol-Festival Kiev (Ukraine), invited by the German and French Embassy. They collaborated with the German Consulate General, the Artist Project Jardin Orange, and the Redtory Art District in China. They received the ARTAQ AWARD Paris for their contributions to the Urban Arts movement.
Cooperations also happens with the L.A.P. – Lin Art Project: cooperative fashion-art-project “Kisuah Dandi” with the Frankfurt-based fashion designer Lin Beeser. A nice feature with the line “earthmosphere” you can find on ARTE TV – “CHIC”- television show.
